Before Cell Wars is a short three chapter children's book to introduce a new character inside the human body. This fictional story is set inside the veins and arteries and we follow the main character Bands, a newly made white blood cell, on his adventures. Find out what a white blood cell's job is and how they help fight diseases and infections. This is an adventure story for 6-12 year olds combining fiction and scientific facts about the blood system (these have been verified by a medical practitioner). 'Cell Wars - In the Beginning' follows Bands in his adventures and was recently awarded a silver medal in The Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards and was shortlisted in the Rubery Book Award 2014.
