Stop Making Excuses For Wanting to be Creative

Stop Making Excuses For Wanting to be Creative

Tiempo: 24:08
In this ep we talk about the need many of us feel to defend our desire to create. "It's just a hobby", "I'm not very good anyway", "It's just an outlet". You don't need to make excuses. Creativity is an essential human desire.
At the same time, you don't need to expend energy convincing people who are committed to misunderstanding you. We talk about this delicate balance.

Delighted, grateful and inspired

I’m here after listening to the last episode on Comparison and Jealousy and I just wanna say that as an enneagram 4 - with a painful tendency to feel less than and lacking specially when contemplating other’s success or luck or magic - with both a wing 5 and its tendency to hide and keep my world to myself and a wing 3 with its need for validation and applause… this whole topic is HARD, it’s personal, it’s messy, it gets and it will get on the way of any creative pursuit… but listening to Amie and James I didn’t feel the need to compare.. I didn’t judge myself or felt shame… I just dwelled on the compassion they extend and bathed on the inspiration from their own experiences and their honesty and bravery and their unique vulnerable sharing full of valuable insights. I’m really just here to say thank you for showing up, for shedding light for us to see how to follow our own paths, and for making us feel seen, heard, unique and worthy. It’s priceless.
